Resumo:
This Course Conclusion Paper proposed a discussion on the various forms of violence against women, which are recognized as intrinsically linked to patriarchy in the context of the capita-list system, within the context of hierarchical, structural and unequal power relations. The im-portance of the Maria da Penha Law - Law No. 11,340/2006 in the criminalization of violence against women is addressed as one of the main means of combating this phenomenon in Bra-zil. The discussion emphasizes domestic violence during the period from 2020 to 2021. Thus, data related to the context of the Covid-19 pandemic and the unfavorable situation in Brazil in relation to social rights, especially women's rights, are presented. Furthermore, the study discusses the relevance of Social Workers in Social Assistance Policy in terms of Medium Complexity, considering their work in the Specialized Reference Center for Social Assistance (CREAS). The central objective was to analyze violence against women during the Covid-19 pandemic, highlighting the actions carried out by CREAS in Parintins-AM. The study, of a qualitative nature, was based on critical social theory, using bibliographical review and docu-mentary research, focusing on official public documents, including the Monthly Service Re-ports (RMA's) and Reports of the Protection Service and Specialized Assistance to Families and Individuals (PAEFI) from CREAS/Parintins in 2020 and 2021. Advances in policies and instruments to combat violence against women were not enough to contain the alarming growth of domestic violence, and women continue to be the main victims
