Soybean is among the main agricultural commodities traded in the world, Brazil stands out in this market due to the expressive quantity that it exports to the international market. In order to meet the existing national and international demand, the country needs to separate its agricultural production by states, giving priority to the least populated states and with the greatest availability of land to produce for export-oriented soy, as is the case of the state of Tocantins, which dedicates a good part of its territory to the production and export of this commodity. This work is dedicated to presenting the trajectory of soybean production in the state of Tocantins, with the main objective of identifying the export destination countries. For this purpose, export data from the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE) and data from the Ministry of Industry, Foreign Trade and Services (MDIC) will be analyzed, in addition to exploring literary works by others authors of great relevance to the theme. |
