Research technical report applied that aimed to analyze the phenomenon of conjugal
visits in Prison Unit Women Palmas/TO from the prospect of themselves incarcerated
women. The phenomenological method proved the most appropriate to the proposed
objectives to uncover and reveal the meanings assigned by the prisoners to visit. The
data collection was a questionnaire semi-structured and open interviews with the use of
triggering question directly harvested in prison, in April 2016, with 24 detainees,
followed by analysis of processes in the database of the State Justice tocantinense (Eproc).
Were women aged between 19 and 53 years; except one, all mothers, bringing
together a total of 71 children; only one with higher education, the others had not
completed basic education, but all was studying. Predominantly they were arrested for
illicit trafficking of small amounts of narcotics. The results indicate that the sexist, legal
and bureaucratic obstacles in this exercise distancing and weaken family and marriage
ties, generating hateful sense of injustice by gender discrimination, with psychological,
emotional, behavioral and disciplinary consequences, stimulating circumstantial
homosexuality, sexual violence, internal dissatisfactions, riots and rebellions. In
addition, enforced chastity beyond the limits of deprivation of freedom and violates the
constitutional right to training and family maintenance. The lack of suitable
environments to privacy and intimacy of the couple creates a sense of mechanization of
the sexual act, devoid of love, care and affection, needed to maintain the marital
relationship. |
