Resumo:
This monograph sought to investigate, from a researcher's self-performative experience, possible ways for the social integration of the Deaf in theater, so that the theatrical work is offered in an equitable way for the Deaf and Hearers. The study was developed from the selfobservation and analysis of a sensitive performative-pedagogical experiment and from the posterior of the logbooks produced. Theoretical dialogues were established with the current Brazilian legislation on Libras, with the medical and diagnostic literature on the types of deafness, with some practices of theater pedagogy aimed at the deaf and with studies on visuality in the theater. Among the authors studied are Lucas S. Resende & Maria da Glória M. dos Reis, Wagner Cintra, and Rimar R. Segala. The study recognizes the importance of the professional interpreter of LIBRAS, but also points out the limitations and difficulties in the way in which the work of these professionals has been inserted in traditional theater. The research is divided into three stages, where the first provides an initial basis for dealing with the subject of Deafness; in the second moment, reports of self-performative and laboratory immersion experience are presented, carried out by the researcher from January to July of the year 2016. The experiment consisted of the restriction of spoken communication in order to partially experience the communication limitation of the Deaf with the listening society, and in the subsequent relationship with authors and works that go through the issues experienced. The last part of the research, resulting from reflections raised in the second experimental stage, sought to point out the Visual Theater, as understood in Wagner Cintra, with a possible pedagogical-perform.
