Resumo:
“Supply Chain” is the set of activities, sectors, people and resources involved in the process of manufacturing, storing and transporting a product to the final customer. After the start of the COVID-19 pandemic in Brazil in February 2020, many of the supply chains were hampered due to the shutdown of factories, closure of borders and restrictions imposed to reduce the circulation of the virus and widespread contagion. Measures to contain the disease led Brazil to an intense economic crisis, with immediate consequences such as unemployment, high inflation and devaluation of the Brazilian real due to the failure of the policies adopted in the period. As a result, sectors such as civil construction suffered from the unavailability or total shortage of inputs and raw materials, in addition to frequent price increases and the revision of commercial conditions, such as delivery and payment terms. The goal of this case study is to evaluate the effects absorbed by a construction company in Palmas/TO in the coronavirus pandemic context. This information was obtained from the company's internal data which, after being analyzed, resulted in tables and graphs summarizing the situation. Based on these results, it can be compared with national indices of research and evaluation of the economy, noting that, like other companies, the company that was the focus of the study also had its results impacted by the pandemic. Finally, based on management consulting studies, actions were presented that companies should consider in case they are hit in the future by other crises with similar characteristics.
