Resumo:
The present article aims the intention in an integrative review of the scientific production on aviation psychology in Brazil. It begins with a brief historical overview in which, during the battle of England, second world war, mental illness was identified in the pilots participating in the battle, until some recent Brazilian initiatives, of inserting psychologists in the aviation context, they act from the selection of professionals to the prevention and investigation of aviation accidents, and also in the organizational part of companies, and institutions. 15 articles were collected, found in scientific databases and the Google Scholar, published from 2005 to 2020. The results indicate that the major interest of aviation psychology in Brazil during this period was about Health, this topic was the center of nine articles, followed by the theme “Security”, which 4 articles and, Women in aviation, with 2 articles. For a more amplified topic, and search period without a time limit, it was expected that the production would be more numerous, would indicate more convergence in terms of explanatory psychological theories and, use of measures of the studied phenomena. Therefore, a highlight point would be the concern about the vast field of research in this area to be explored, in Brazil.
