The type of research adopted is the Case Study, with a qualitative approach, having as instruments and techniques of data collection: the bibliographic survey; the application of a questionnaire to the class teacher; classroom observation; analysis of the activities developed (lesson plan) and documentary analysis. At the first moment we carried out research based on the legislation on Special Education, as well as texts that addressed the theme presented here. The second moment we had the field research, a study carried out in the Municipal School Professor Antonio Farias that attends children in the multifunctional resources room, with various specialties. Therefore, we selected the resource room, for the study, and to verify the types of specialties served in it, to identify the role of the resource room in the development of the teaching-learning process of the students. Therefore the results of the study show that the resource room has total importance in the lives of students with special needs both personal, social and mainly intellectual. Since it is through the activities carried out in class that their development and learning is acquired and improved. O presente Trabalho de Conclusão de Curso tem como objetivo analisar a importância da sala de recursos multifuncionais para incluir os alunos com necessidades especiais/deficiência/ especialidade em uma escola no município de Tocantinópolis-TO. O tipo de pesquisa adotado é o Estudo de Caso, com abordagem qualitativa, tendo como instrumentos e técnicas de coleta de dados: o levantamento bibliográfico; a aplicação de um questionário para o professor da turma; observação em sala de aula; análises das atividades desenvolvidas (plano de aula) e análise documental. No primeiro momento realizamos pesquisa com base na legislação sobre a Educação Especial, como também em textos que abordavam a temática aqui apresentada. O segundo momento foi realizada a pesquisa de campo, estudo esse realizado na Escola Municipal Professor Antônio Farias que atende crianças na sala de recursos multifuncionais, com diversas especialidades. Sendo assim selecionamos a sala de recursos, para o estudo, e verificar os tipos de especialidades atendidas na mesma, identificar o papel da sala de recursos no desenvolvimento do processo de ensino-aprendizagem dos alunos. Portanto, os resultados do estudo evidenciam que a sala de recurso tem total importância na vida dos alunos com necessidades especiais, tanto pessoais, social e principalmente intelectuais.
