In university laboratories there is a considerable probability of accidents occurring due to users'
curiosity and often the lack of instructions or non-compliance with them. In order to make the
laboratory environment safer and minimize risks, several measures must be adopted, including
the preparation of risk maps and preliminary risk analysis. The present study was carried out
from the elaboration of a Preliminary Risk Analysis (PRA) and risk maps of the Civil
Engineering and Electrical Engineering laboratories of the Federal University of Tocantins,
Campus Palmas. The physical, chemical, biological and ergonomic risks existing in the steps
corresponding to the use of equipment and environments in general were raised. From data
colecione with the aid of a questionnaire, it was possible to identify the existing dangers and
determine the risk to students and teachers. From the APR, it is possible to propose control
measures to minimize the effects of identified risks/hazards and assist with the updating of data
collected in the current situation, enabling corrections and return of activities in the laboratories
with greater safety. It was observed that all the laboratories of the Electrical Engineering course
were considered safe, and that only the Construction Materials and Soil Mechanics of the Civil
Engineering course presented a greater variety of risks. |
