Resumo:
Nowadays, agribusiness is a constantly growing sector that generates highly hazardous waste (pesticide packaging), both for public health and for the environment. In this context, this study presents an analysis of the reverse logistics strategies adopted in small farms in the forest region, located in the city of Darcinópolis, state of Tocantins. The purpose of this study is to verify if the form of disposal of the packaging adopted by the producers, are in accordance with the legislation in force. The data description of this research was made from the information collected through a field research questionnaire, composed of 12 questions, and for data analysis was used the qualitative descriptive methodology. From the results obtained through the research, it was evident that the lack of information is the biggest bottleneck in the region, making the laws not actually enforced, thus generating a risk of human and environmental contamination. On the other hand, although they are not fully aware of reverse logistics, they recognize its importance for reducing environmental impacts through the reuse or reuse of these wastes, promoting sustainable development.
