Resumo:
This study was dedicated to teaching and learning the history of Brazilian education during the training of the pedagogue at UFT - Campus de Miracema. The content and form of teaching stands out considering the monitoring of discipline in the formative process. As for the content, we call attention to the facts linked to the political, economic, social and educational context of Brazil since Colony (1549), with the Jesuit Fathers, being the first catechizers and schoolers of the colonial elite; the measures adopted by Minister D. José I; the arrival of the Royal Family in Colony in 1808 and the impact on the expanded offer of education, the independence of Brazil in 1822 and the Proclamation of the Republic in 1889. In the republican period, we highlighted the policy of coffee with milk, the coup in and of the State of President Getúlio Vargas; the Military Coup of 1964, among other historical events that were directly and indirectly related to educational issues in Brazil, whether in the provision of education or in its intentional omission; and even, its prohibition for the black and indigenous majority, of the Brazilian population in times of colonial and imperial slavery. As for the form of teaching, this work sought to focus on the experience with discipline monitoring, especially the history of Brazilian education discipline, with reports from monitoring, documentary analysis related to the Monitoring Plan and Discipline Plan, as well as the necessary deepening exercise on the organization and planning of teaching. The field research that we initially planned, with the interviews or questions for verification with the discipline students, was not possible to be carried out, after several attempts, due to the impacts of the coronavirus pandemic in the period of its realization (May and June 2020) , that is, the difficulty of access and remote response of students (via internet), due to the necessary social isolation and its consequences for access to the world wide web. However, after assessing the studies, it was concluded that the volume of systematizations on the subject demonstrated that the objective was achieved.
