Resumo:
David Ausubel's Theory of Meaningful Learning is based on the prior knowledge of the students, in the same way that Paulo Freire's Method uses the student's world reading as a basis for learning. Both Ausubel and Freire elaborate strategies aimed at promoting this learning, whether by subsumption or generating words. At present, these approaches can be developed through using the available digital resources; resources that provide us real-time information and communication, making it possible to understand the concepts of physics in a more interactive and engaging way. For this to happen the teacher must be aware of what these digital information and communication technologies can help as pedagogical resources in the teaching and learning processes of these students. Computational simulators, especially those with greater interactivity, can promote an improvement in the learning of basic concepts in physics classes, always in the light of David Ausubel's Theory of Meaningful Learning. In the present work, we will develop a discussion about the use of digital technologies for meaningful learning as well as a list of the main software simulations that can be used in this process.
