In this research, mathematical simulations of the transmission of Visceral Leishmaniasis were
carried out in the city of Aragua ́ına, using a system of differential equations and programs in
Octave to perform calculations and plotting graphs. For a better understanding of this research,
we studied Ordinary Differential Equations, Ordinary Differential Equation Systems and Oc-
tave programming. In this model, a vector was considered, the Phlebotomine and two hosts,
the human and the dog. In order to carry out this research, it was necessary to request some
information from the Zoonosis Control Center in the city. At the end, we applied the model to
the city and later considered a situation in which there were no infected dogs. |
