The present work aims to present some applications, in everyday problems, of the minimi-
zation problem using variational calculus. For this purpose, we did a purely bibliographic
research with the intention of getting to know these concepts better and bringing some
problems as examples. For variational calculus, some concepts are important such as limits
and derivatives, as they will serve as a basis for the development of this work and, as
we will present some minimization problems, thus making it fundamental to study the
variation of functions such as: maximum and minimum values , critical point, tests of
the derivatives and concavities of the graphs of the functions, among other results of the
calculation. |
