Resumo:
Statistics is a science that provides a set of methods that enable decision making based on data collection, analysis and organization. Statistical information is present in every social environment, influencing people's decisions and being able to contribute to the construction of citizenship in an effective way. In this context, verifying how teaching and learning of statistical content is carried out, an action that is characterized as one of the objects of study in Statistical Education, becomes essential for citizenship. In this sense, it is necessary to emphasize the importance that statistical content is well placed in the Didactic Books, given that this constitutes as the main instrument of the teacher, in order to promote a quality Education. In this sense, the general objective of this work is to analyze a collection of textbooks directed to Elementary Education II, which is in force at the Colégio Estadual Adolfo Bezerra de Menezes, located in Araguaína-TO. Such analysis will be carried out according to the National Common Curricular Base (BNCC), and classifying the exercises proposed by the books in the collection, according to statistical literacy levels. To this end, in this work, a thorough bibliographic survey will be carried out, based on researchers who have studied the topic in question, in addition to bringing important considerations present in the BNCC. In addition to the analysis that will be carried out, in the fourth chapter, an overview of the results obtained with it is presented, in which criticisms and suggestions of complementary activities are carried out in order to promote teaching
