The Supervised Curricular Internship was conducted at the Veterinary Hospital of CEULP/ULBRA in Palmas - TO under the supervision of Profa. Dra. Bruna Alexandrino and supervised by professor Ana Luiza S. Guimarães. The internship took place from august 15 to october 27, 2022, with a daily workload of 8 hours, 40 hours a week, totaling 390 hours. the internship was directed to the areas of small animal medical and surgical clinic. This work also includes a description of the internship site and the activities developed, followed by the casuistry followed. Then follows the description and discussion of the clinical case of a male dog, german shepherd, 8 years old, weighing 46 kg with bilateral paraparesis of the anterior limb and pain in the lumbosacral region as the main clinical sign. Based on the history, general clinical exams, specific clinical exams and imaging exams, the diagnosis of Cauda Equina Syndrome was reached.
