The present work seeks to show how a monoculture process causes changes in the
economy, the environment, and the society in which it is adopted. The main objective of
this work to understand the influence of the monoculture pineapple (Ananas comosus
(L) Merril) in different processes, analyzing the influence of cultivation on the
environment, society and economy in the municipality, based on the reality experienced
by the residents and producers of Forest Araguaia - PA. The research was elaborated
from readings of some books, scientific articles to be able to theoretically base the
subject, and for a better understanding of the reality of monoculture producers,
fieldwork, with the registration of photos and application of questionnaires to the
residents and pineapple workers. By means of the research it was possible to understand
the process of transforming subsistence family farming into the monoculture process, it
was possible to observe the level of schooling of the pineapple workers, the working
conditions, the temporary migration process and the influence that the monoculture
