The present study intends describe and relate in general some mathematical aspects of origami,
based on my life experiences, justifying my study. In the methodology, the methods used for the
composition of the study will be described, as well as the experiences, the process of description
in the field of phenomenology and the Inkscape software for the construction of origami diagrams.
In the description, constitution and analysis of the data, the aspects of the origami history in the
literary context, the origami origination and the expansion of the origami to other countries, such
as Japan, Spain and Brazil, will be demonstrated. In the same topic, origami was explained in the
context of my life trajectory, bringing my experiences in relation to origami and Mathematics, as
well as the constructions of the base powers 2, the equilateral triangle, the Haga Theorem, the
polyhedra convex and problems of cube duplication and angle trisection. Based on the process of
phenomenological description exposed in the methodology, it was uncovered in a theoretical way,
the Mathematics behind the origami constructions. The results of the study, reports that origami
was important to learn mathematics in a playful and contextualized way, and can apply this
methodology in classrooms.
