Resumo:
The aim of this work was to provide students with theoretical and practical knowledge about the statistics, stimulating curiosity, interest and creativity of the student. The activities were carried out in a public school in the town of Araguaina-TO. In this way he pointed out this research, the importance of the student be able to analyze information, read statistical data, build charts and graphs. In this sense, the National Curricular Parameters (PCN ́s), Brazil (1997), justify the teaching of statistics, orienting to the need of the individual to understand the information conveyed, learn to make decisions and make predictions that influence your personal life and in the community. Thus, the methodology used for this study was a qualitative and quantitative-oriented approach of descriptive and explanatory nature, based on field research carried out in the Centre of White Castle high school, where two workshops were developed; a using ruler and compass and another in the computer lab of the school, using the Excel Software for building worksheets and charts of statistical data searched. It was used also as instruments: questionnaire, testimonials and pictures for collection and documentation of information and facts. The results obtained, it is concluded that the math teachers, still do not have the habit of driving students to the computer lab this school to make statistics activities and/or mathematics, in this interactive space for teaching and learning. So, the students carry out the proposed activities in the workshops, became able to do a spreadsheet, build a graph and interpret statistical data.
