The present work has as its objective the teaching of Geometry, directed to the teaching and
learning of mathematics with the use of concrete materials and games. The research has its
theoretical foundations in the authors that presents a brief history about the emergence of
Geometry and its applications in agriculture and livestock contributions. And for a long time,
it was in second place in Brazilian schools. And show the main geometric figures that are
fundamental to learning mathematics of children from the early years. The application of this
work was in the class of the third year of elementary school held at the William Castelo
Branco Martins Municipal School. Thus, from this study we seek to prioritize the properties
of the geometric forms to the students, in order to develop ideas about the proposed situation,
facilitating the teaching of Geometry to the students, considering that it was in direct contact
with the objects proposed. And we will analyze from an exercise for the students, the degree
of difficulties in identifying the geometric forms, and also a questionnaire focused on the
difficulties that the teacher of Mathematics finds in working the teaching of Geometry in the
classroom. From the contribution of manipulatives and games to the teaching of geometric
shapes, the students were more interested in Geometry. |
