This work proposes to carry out a study on the trajectory of the Nossa Senhora da Conceição Municipal Band in Campos Belos-GO, its achievements, as well as the challenges faced for its consolidation in the artistic-cultural scenario in the municipality of Campos Belos-GO, as well as as in the southeastern region of the state of Tocantins. For the theoretical foundation, theorists such as Barbosa (1996), Binder (2006), Costa (2011), Jardim (2008) will be used. Reis (1962) and Sousa (2015) who deal with music bands since their emergence, the influences of military bands and the recognition and absorption of this movement by society. The research will have a qualitative and quantitative character and, for its accomplishment, in addition to the bibliographic and documentary research, the Law that created the band and the subsequent laws that are directly related to the management of the band, as well as its musical activities will be analyzed; semi-structured interviews will be used with subjects who participated since the creation of the band, either as members or as employees of the municipality, as they participated in some way in the creation and development of the band, as well as the current managers; Questionnaires will also be applied to the current members of the band in order to hear the instrumentalists about their difficulties, culminating in participant observation in rehearsals and presentations to know the modus operandi of their activities. It is expected that, from the analysis and results that will be presented, contributions can be made to solve possible problems, as well as recommendations to improve the performance of the band.
