This qualitative research aimed to know how the psychopedagogue can contribute to the
enhancement of human development through school education, providing opportunities for
students with learning difficulties to overcome the educational obstacles that prevent them from
learning. Initially, we present the results of a bibliographic research carried out on the basis of
theses and dissertations from CAPES, as well as articles published in scientific journals, on the
history of the emergence of psychopedagogy in Brazil and in the world. In a second moment,
we approach how was the arrival of psychopedagogy in Brazil, the authors that influenced it,
their struggles and achievements in the search for the valorization of psychopedagogy, as well
as we identified the role of the psychopedagogue in the school institution. Subsequently, we
carried out an analysis of published research on the work of the psychopedagogue, in order to
investigate its relevance in schools. This research proved to be relevant because it aimed to
highlight the growth and challenge faced in its historical path, seeking a better understanding
of the abilities of its actions. |
