The supervised curricular internship was carried out at Santa Cany Veterinary Hospital and Animais Clinic - Veterinary Center, focusing on the areas of small animal medical and surgical clinic at both locations. It took place between March 13 and May 24, 2023, totaling 390 hours. This report describes the physical facilities of the locations, the activities performed, as well as the casuistry of the clinical and surgical procedures observed. Following that, the clinical case description of an 8-year-old, 10.1kg mixed-breed female dog undergoing a central hemimaxillectomy due to the presence of a mass in the right maxilla is presented. The sample obtained during the surgical procedure was sent for histopathological analysis, resulting in a definitive diagnosis of fibroblastic osteosarcoma. |
