Resumo:
Since its implementation in the colonial period, Brazilian Education has supported teaching- learning articulated with guidelines from multilateral organisms, thus maintaining the Coloniality of Power, of being and of knowledge, strengthening neoliberal capitalism. In this sense, the core of this study is to be an alternative against this Coloniality through the teaching- learning of political literacy through literary readings. This practice will enable the formation of critical consciousness, in the sense of decolonizing thought in an attempt to disarticulate the Coloniality of Power, of being and of knowledge. Our guiding question is: can literature be an agency for teaching political literacy? In this vein, this research has as a general objective to investigate what are the contributions of literature to the teaching and learning of political literacy. The specific objectives are: to ascertain whether a link between literature and politics is possible; describe how literature can represent a link between the reader and the implementation of democracy; demonstrate that some literary works with their political discourse represent a possibility to the practice of political literacy; analyze the importance of literary reading for the understanding and learning of other knowledges; demonstrate that both literature and politics are intrinsically present in life; to analyze the importance of critical thinking in the deconstruction of the hegemony of power of multilateral organisms. Therefore, it will be demonstrated that it is possible to practice teaching-learning with political literacy through literary readings, to disarticulate the Coloniality of Power and its oppressive axes, which are: racism, the control of the economy, politics, authority, natural wealth, gender and sexuality, subjectivity and knowledge. The study on the teaching of political literacy through literature will be from the perspective of the Decoloniality of Power and Transmodernity. Regarding the Decoloniality of Power, it refers to the dialogue with various theories such as: Post-Colonialism, Coloniality of Power, Decoloniality and Liberation Theory according to Paulo Freire. Transmodernity is related to thinking beyond the concept of Modernity/Post- Modernity. As the study is Inter/Transdisciplinary and based on a democratic approach that considers the view of opposites, the various theories mentioned above were embraced, in the sense of building a different logic of thinking about teaching and learning. This research will be bibliographical with a dialectical method and a qualitative approach. That way, the instruments for this research will be books, scientific articles, dissertations or theses. Thus, we have as a central point to bring to light, through bibliographic research, a new way of thinking about teaching-learning with a pedagogical proposal of teaching political literacy through literary readings discussed in conversation circles together with the school community and political or communitarian leaders in order to obtain results both in the formation of the literary reader and in the appropriation and empowerment of political knowledge.
