This work consists of an experience report of the exploration processes about the
challenging and proposed spatiality of the creation process of the solo show “Return home
after years without courage”, research and construction of the show. This result stems
from research on spatiality in postdramatic theater. Within this context, several spaces
were used during the creation process in which the ground scenes were built, which had
the purpose of meeting post-dramatic theater based on my personal stories. The work was
accompanied and developed with the support, support, direction and guidance of Prof.
Me. Marcial de Asevedo, who boosted the search for a post-dramatic, performative,
autobiographical and intimate theatricality that was based on what the spaces used in the
creation process brought as realistic and imaginative elements – researcher and student
of the Degree in Theater Course – . These spaces culminated in the correspondences of
our concerns and with that, the subjectivity of the process took shape and led us to the
results that formed the show. Just as the space impelled and directed us to create, we also
took the results of this research and adapted the show to two different environments and
presented it to the public of the city and the Federal University of Tocantins. The
pedagogical discussion is part of this project and is intrinsically related to the topics of
research and investigation of the spatiality of this scenic construction work.
