This article arises from the need to investigate the teaching of musical theater as a
pedagogical practice through documental and bibliographic analysis and studies of academic
production of Brazilian postgraduate studies. Methodologically, this research is qualitative in
nature, based on a personal interest in knowing about art in basic education and the possible
influences of art as a profession. From this perspective, musical theater is discussed as a
pedagogical practice, art as an intentional and integrated/invisible phenomenon, art as an
instrument and area of knowledge, and as influences and difficulties in professionalizing
Musical Theater in Brazil. Concluding on the relationship between basic education, personal
training and professional training in Musical Theater. |
