The supervised traineeship was conducted by the Division of Swine, Federal University of Tocantins, Araguaína-TO in the period from April 29 to July 08, 2014 The production model was adopted piglets weaned confined system, and semi-confined to woodblocks and boars. The full squad covering breeding and piglets arrays was 140 animals. Being headquarters of 12 Large White, Duroc, and Pietran Sorocaba; 5 breeding, breeds Duroc, Large White and crossbred; 35 pigs in the finishing phase; 88 pigs in the nursery phase. The animals were divided into three facilities: two masonry and the third in separate paddocks for shock. The breeding program was adopted assisted natural mating with human intervention when necessary. The dependencies of the farm consisted of the following facilities, a pharmacy, feed mill, feed storage room, office, a daycare, a place to collect semen, dock, and pond and settling of waste and dunghill. Throughout the stage all activities related to general management with emphasis on the reproductive management of the pig herd that were aimed at putting into practice the knowledge gained at the university were conducted.
