The experiment was conducted to evaluate the inclusion of purified glycerine in
broiler diets from 8 to 21 days old. 160 broilers were used with 08 days of age
Cobb500® line with average initial weight of 208 ± 16,78g, distributed in a completely
randomized design (CRD) with four treatments (0, 2, 4 and 6% inclusion of crude
glycerin) and four replicates of ten birds each. They were evaluated feed intake (CR),
weight gain (WG), feed conversion (CA) and weight at 21 days (P21d). The purified
glycerin inclusion levels did not affect feed intake (CR), weight gain (WG), feed
conversion (CA) and weight of the birds at 21 days of age. The lower the power cost
per kg of GP was obtained with a level of 6% purified glycerin, resulting in greater
margin. The inclusion of purified glycerine in broiler diet showed technically and
economically viable for up to 6% from 8 to 21 days old.
