This present report aims to describe the activities performed in the Veterinary
Hospital of Universidade Federal do Goiás, Campus Samambaia, in two distincs
periods: from November 16th 2016 to January 31st 2017, in a total of 345 hours of
activities developed in Anesthesiology and Emergency Medicine areas. During the
internship, 23 cases in the Emergency and Critical Care sector and 82 surgical cases
that required anesthesia or sedation were followed. In this work, we contemplate the
activities performed during the internship, which includes : assistance to the
anesthesiology interns with the patient’s monitoring in the surgery, assistance in the
patient and equipment’s preparation ; help with the avaliation of the critical illness
patient and in the cardiorespiratory resuscitation. The data refering to the technical
activities performed and the cases followed are organized under the form of grafics
and tables, and the urgency in a canine patient in the suspect of
hypoadrenocorticism will be described and discussed in this report.
