The Compulsory Supervised Curriculum Internship in Veterinary was held in the Animal
Farming Defense sector at the Agricultural Defense Agency of the State of Pará (ADEPARÁ /
PA) at the Local Agricultural and Livestock Unit (ULSA) of Xinguara. The internship was
carried out from March 11 to June 7, 2019, totaling 428 hours, under the supervision of the
veterinary Elizabeth Patrícia Lopes Rendeiro. The Animal Sanitary Defense aims to prevent,
control and eradicate diseases with economic impact, aiming at the valorization of national
livestock and animal health. During the internship, it was possible to follow the activities
developed in the National Program for Eradication of Foot-and-Mouth Disease (PNEFA),
National Equine Health Program (PNSE), National Herbarium Rabies Control Program
(PNCRH) and activities carried out by the Official Veterinary Service (SVO) and Health
Education. Due to the interest aroused by the activities carried out under the National Program
of Equine Health, this work emphasizes the approach in an important disease of difficult control
that affects these animals, Equine Infectious Anemia (EIA). |
