This research had as interlocutors the women residing in Miranorte, Miracema and Palmas -TO, who perform "considered" male professions, emphasizing their perceptions, experiences and challenges in the world of work. It was sought to understand how these women understand their feminine condition in the world of work and how they face socially constructed differences and hierarchies about gender. In the bibliographical research, we sought to analyze the category of gender and the historical, social and economic path of women in capitalist society, problematizing the lack of equality in the relations between men and women and their trajectory in society. Five professionals were interviewed, randomly selected and the data collection materialized with semi-structured interviews, through a questionnaire prepared in advance, opening space for new questions. It was found that women have increasingly achieved notoriety and space in the world of work as subjects of rights, however, the results of the research show that the gender inequalities persist in the labor market of Tocantins. There were reports of some manifestations of chauvinism and harassment in work environments, however, professionals did not seek for legal mechanisms to combat these practices. The interviewees maintain the work / family articulation, reconciling the work with the double journey, being the main responsible for the domestic work. The research highlights that the search for equal rights, wages and social treatments without discrimination and without subalternity must remain alive and active. Este trabalho analisou analisar a concepção das mulheres sobre as construções de gênero no mercado de trabalho e suas condições por muitas vezes inferiorizadas. Tal pesquisa teve como interlocutoras mulheres residentes em Miranorte, Miracema e Palmas -TO, que exercem profissões ―consideradas‖ masculinas, enfatizando suas percepções, experiências e desafios no mundo do trabalho. Buscou-se entender como essas mulheres compreendem sua condição feminina no mundo do trabalho e como enfrentam as diferenças e hierarquias socialmente construídas sobre gênero. Na pesquisa bibliográfica, buscou-se analisar a categoria gênero e o caminho histórico, social e econômico das mulheres na sociedade capitalista, problematizando a falta de igualdade nas relações entre homens e mulheres e a trajetória delas na sociedade. Foram entrevistadas cinco profissionais, selecionadas aleatoriamente e a coleta se materializou com entrevistas semiestruturadas, mediante roteiro de perguntas elaborado antecipadamente, abrindo espaço para novos questionamentos. Constatou-se que as mulheres têm alcançado cada vez mais notoriedade e espaço no mundo do trabalho como sujeitos de direitos, no entanto, os resultados da pesquisa demonstram que as desigualdades entre os gêneros persistem no mercado de trabalho tocantinense. Houve relatos de algumas manifestações de machismo e de assédio nos ambientes de trabalho, porém, as profissionais não buscaram os mecanismos jurídicos para o combate destas práticas. As entrevistadas mantém a articulação trabalho/família, conciliando o trabalho com a dupla jornada, sendo as principais responsáveis pelo trabalho doméstico.
