This bibliographic work deals with the representation of women from the perspective of
Brazilian literature, specifically the short stories Preciousness and A lingua do “P”, by Clarice
Lispector, written in the 60's and 70's. social role of women, from the female protagonists of
the stories in evidence. Based on the interpretations of the texts, we will seek to understand the
social problems presented by the author, thus revealing the experiences of being a woman in a
world of male domination, in addition to portraying themes such as loneliness, abuse and the
silencing of women in the works under study. The relevance of this work is justified in shedding
light on how the themes addressed in the stories are intertwined in the real daily life of the
female world. What's more, although they were written in past decades, they are still problems
of today's society, relevant to broad debates and resolutive decisions regarding the violence
suffered by women, whether physical or symbolic. In short, it is concluded that Clarice's writing
problematizes the female world by bringing a critical look, sharpened with stories full of
minutiae about the daily life of the female protagonists of her works. In this way, it provokes
in the reader a restlessness and, at the same time, revolt, each time it presents us with a possible
reality represented in literature. |
