Thus, this article seeks a relationship between deaf literature and the teaching of the Brazilian Sign Language - Libras as a tool for the constitution of the individual and his educational background through the narrative of Cinderella Deaf, produced in video by the Chaplin educational system available on YouTube. Analyzing the aspects of the construction of the narrative, relating them to culture, experience of the deaf community and bringing suggestions for the practice of language teaching. Finally, realize that literature is a very rich resource for language teaching, as it comprises a collection of cultural and linguistic knowledge that the student can experience and share with his peers.
