Resumo:
Systemic lupus erythematosus is a rare autoimmune pathological manifestation, with a higher incidence in young women, who are in the reproductive phase (15 to 45 years old). Traditional therapy provides drug treatment, which must occur individually for each case, as they will vary according to which organs were affected and the severity of the symptoms. This work focused on conducting a survey on the integrative and complementary practices used in the treatment of Systemic Lupus Erythematosus, which avoid the various side effects caused by allopathic drugs, especially in cases of using high daily doses. Among the main results found, good part of the studies indicated the need for a multidisciplinary team to monitor the patient during the drug intervention, the main points to be observed were the need for psychological, physical therapy and nutritional monitoring, factors that significantly contribute to the quality of life of SLE patients.
