Resumo:
The objective of this research was to discuss the process of implantation and implementation of specialized listening to child and adolescent victims or witnesses of violence in the state of Tocantins, mapping and identifying the main challenges in this process. Our study is classified as a field research. We adopted as a research instrument the application of questionnaires to 139 municipalities in the state of Tocantins, as well as conducting semi-structured interviews with professionals (psychologists and social workers) from two municipalities who responded to perform specialized listening. The data were critically analyzed in light of the guidelines provided in the scientific literature and legislation that deal with the fundamental rights of children and adolescents in effect and the care of children and adolescents victims of violence. As a result, we found that in the state of Tocantins only 2 municipalities are carrying out specialized listening. From our research, we found that the professionals who perform the referred procedure recognize the violence and its effects, the reception, care and nonrevictimization of these children and adolescents and are involved with the improvements in the service provided. However, it was still possible to observe a difficulty in differentiating specialized listening for special testimony, which may compromise the purpose of carrying out the specialized listening procedure. We understand that the implantation and implementation of specialized listening has challenges, but that, however, the biggest challenge is structural, political and economic, involving the strengthening of social policies and protection network. As a way of reducing the challenges, some possibilities were presented: information, training and financial investment for the implementation of specialized listening. We defend that specialized listening is an important procedure to avoid revictimization and to guarantee focused, humanized care that promotes acceptance and care for children and adolescents who are victims of violence.
