Such commitments can be identified in the first months of the baby's life by recognizing the early signs of ASD. Understanding that the signs of ASD are observed right at the beginning of the child's life, this research aimed to survey the bibliographies that address the importance of diagnosis and early intervention of ASD. This research is an illustrated theoretical work, that is, it is focused on the reflection of a theme and for that it uses one or more practical clinical cases that have the purpose of illustration. In addition, through two cases of published clinical reports, the work elucidates the importance of early diagnosis and intervention for children who are diagnosed with Autistic Spectrum Disorder. Our results indicate that having an early diagnosis and long-term intervention results in a better development of the child in relation to the skills that are compromised by the disorder O Transtorno do Espectro Autista (TEA) é um dos Transtornos do neurodesenvolvimento descrito no Manual Diagnóstico e Estatístico de Transtornos Mentais (DSM) e apresenta em sua sintomatologia o comprometimento e déficits persistentes na comunicação, na interação social e na aprendizagem de comportamentos. Tais comprometimentos podem ser identificados logo nos primeiros meses de vida do bebe através do reconhecimento dos sinais precoces do TEA. Compreendendo que os sinais do TEA são observados logo no início da vida da criança, a presente pesquisa objetivou fazer um levantamento de bibliografias que abordam sobre a importância do diagnóstico e intervenção precoce do TEA. Esta pesquisa trata-se de um trabalho teórico ilustrado, ou seja, está voltada para a reflexão de um tema e que para isso utiliza-se de um ou mais casos clínicos práticos que possuem a finalidade de ilustração. Ademais, através de dois casos de relatos clínicos publicados, o trabalho elucida sobre a importância do diagnóstico e intervenção precoce para crianças que são diagnosticadas com o Transtorno do Espectro Autista.
