The work brought a discussion having as a central parameter the babassu coconut
palm and its real use in its entirety, where the main products and by-products and
their uses for the market will be presented. For a long time, women coconut breakers
from the region of Bico do Papagaio, extreme north of Tocantins, joined together to
seek to promote the social reality of the region. Through strength, union and
community organization, they still struggle to give visibility to the work they face on a
daily basis during the babassu coconut breakage. The objective of this work is to
bring a bibliographic review through writings and evidence about the babassu
coconut and its representativeness for families that seek to live on the sustenance of
the extractive activity. Another determining factor of the research is to present the full
use of the babassu palm and its fruit, in this sense still present its products and byproducts.
It is important to emphasize that throughout the study the characteristics of
each product and its peculiarities will be shown to readers. The research is based on
analyzes and observations of readings in articles and works already published and
secondary sources researched on academic google. The methodology used is
bibliographical and descriptive. The survey results were positive because it is
considered that. |
