Resumo:
This monographic writing investigates the “Archetypal construction of the character “Cinderella”: a textual-discursive analysis from the Appraisal System”. For this, a study of a bibliographic nature is used (GRIMM, Jacob; GRIMM, Wilhelm. In: Ana Maria Machado (2010), PERRAULT, Charles. In: Maria Tatar. (2013), Charles Perrault, Translation: Leonardo Fróes (2015), based on the theoretical contributions of Systemic-Functional Grammar (HALLIDAY, 1985; 1994; 2004) and still on works by Martin (2000; 2002; 2003) and collaborators (MARTIN; WHITE, 2005; MARTIN; ROSE, 2003 ), contributing to Orlando Vian Júnior's (2009, 2010) “Assessment System and resources for graduation in Portuguese.” For metalanguage studies, the contribution of Marie-Louise von Franz (1990) stands out. Joseph Campbell (1991, 1997) and Maria Tatar (2013), among others. It was these authors who made it possible to investigate what leads this literary genre to dialogue so easily with the ideal reader or in the literacy process, as well as the reasons for present itself full of intertwinings and discursive intentions, which tend to evolve and have their own Its senses modified of mode to provoke greater empathy and interaction with its reader/listener. And, sometimes, predisposing him to mirroring postures. Therefore, the research aims to analyze the choice of linguistic-discursive construction around the character Princess in fairy tales: Cinderella or Glass Slipper, by Perrault (1697); Cinderella or Cinderella, by the Brothers Grimm (1812, 1815), identifying how the protagonist is represented in these works. And, in a more specific aspect, the objectives are: a) to identify, in the text, characteristics of archetypal images evidenced by psychological meaning for the reader/listener, which are expressed in figures and symbolic events in the daily life of the character Princess; b) analyze the discursiveness of such character, highlighting its possible qualities, edifying content of its message, personal and social role and the way of construction of the image of Princess through the grammatical lexicon choice, finally; c) identify the model of female representation in view of the perspective of the Appraisal System, especially in Attitude in Language resources (VIAN JR, 2009); d) analyze the character Cinderella from fairy tales. The results allow us to say that Appraisal represents a system of interpersonal meanings, which enabled us to confer quality and new meanings within the analyzed field (Affection, Judgment and Appreciation) for Princess Cinderella, as well as for the image that was being built around her. And, whose greatest highlight lies in the way in which the text involves and gives representativeness to the reader/listener, inspiring him to protagonism from its narrative, because no word is completely devoid of discursive intentionality.
