By proposing this research whose purpose was to identify the transformations of the senses and meanings of São Luís Orione Square in Araguaína (TO), the delimitation of the object of study is given by the photographic records of the Square made between 1970 and 2023. since the construction of the square, it has not only been revitalized but also had its original name changed, as a result of the very context of the formation of the city. We use photographs as a language to communicate constituent elements of the symbolic landscape, related to economic, political and cultural interaction capable of presenting temporal transformations as well as social relations. We analyzed the images based on Erwin Panofsky's iconography and iconology proposed by Peter Burke. Mobilizing authors of Geography in its various tendencies, in a theoretical approach of the category “Landscape” and space of representation, among others, G. Andreotti and D. Cosgrove. A reflexão que procuramos diz respeito a uma discussão envolvendo a filosofia das formas simbólicas de Ernst Cassirer (1874-1945) e suas manifestações na paisagem e espaço de representação na Geografia e na Fotografia. Ao propor esta pesquisa cujo teve a finalidade de identificar as transformações dos sentidos e significados da Praça São Luís Orione em Araguaína (TO), a delimitação do objeto de estudo se dá pelos registros fotográficos da Praça feitos entre 1970 a 2023. Além de expor que desde a construção da praça ela não só foi revitalizada como também teve seu nome original mudado, fruto do próprio contexto de formação da cidade. Utilizamos as fotografias como linguagem a nos comunicar elementos constituintes da paisagem simbólica, relacionados à interação econômica, política e cultural capaz de apresentar as transformações temporais bem como as relações sociais. Realizamos a análise das imagens a partir da proposta de iconografia e iconologia de Erwin Panofsky apontada por Peter Burke. Mobilizando autores da Geografia em suas diversas tendências, numa abordagem teórica da categoria “Paisagem” e espaço de representação, entre outros, G. Andreotti e D.
