The main objective was to understand the events in the space we occupy based on the relationship between cultural heritage and local history. The methodological strategy was Heritage Education, which in addition to providing support for the teaching of History, created possibilities for students to recognize the panada as an integral part of local culture and history. The work has ways of establishing a “teaching” relationship with students based on discussions about historical memory and its relationship with cultural heritage. In addition to seeking to overcome the difficulties of many students in not understanding the diversity of cultural heritage in the space in which they are inserted, imbued by a vision of monumentalist and Eurocentric cultural heritage. The use of Heritage Education with students in the “teaching” process in non-formal spaces helped students assimilate the relationship between local history and the panada and historically understand its importance as a cultural heritage of the city of Imperatriz. The didactic resource of the work consisted of a didactic sequence that allows teachers to experiment with their students when using this type of theme in History Teaching. Este trabalho teve como propósito uma produção didática pedagógica para o Ensino de História, utilizando a Panelada como espaço de Ensino. O objetivo principal foi compreender os acontecimentos no espaço em que ocupamos a partir da relação do patrimônio cultural e a história local. Teve como estratégia metodológica a Educação Patrimonial que além de dar suporte para o ensino de História, criou possibilidades para que os estudantes reconhecessem a panelada como patrimônio integrante da cultura e da história local. O trabalho possui meios de estabelecer uma relação de “ensinagem” com os estudantes a partir de discussões sobre a memória histórica e sua relação com o patrimônio cultural. Além de buscar superar as dificuldades de muitos estudantes em não compreender a diversidade de patrimônio cultural no espaço em que estão inseridos, imbuídos por uma visão de patrimônio cultural monumentalista e eurocêntrico. O uso da Educação Patrimonial com os estudantes no processo de “ensinagem” em espaços não-formais, contribuiu para que os estudantes assimilassem a relação da história local com a panelada e compreendessem historicamente sua importância como patrimônio cultural da cidade de Imperatriz.
