The Supervised Curricular Internships are an integral part of the initial training of
teachers, being a necessary learning for professionals who truly want to prepare for
the challenges of the career, being a moment of contact of the students with schools
in the professional environment, providing an interaction with the scenario that they
will act during their professional life, thus stimulating intense reflection on which paths
to take after graduation. The present work aimed, briefly, to understand the
importance of the supervised internship for undergraduate students of the Geography
course at the Universidade Federal do Norte do Tocantins. The methodology used to
collect data was the Conversation Circle among students in the university
environment, as a resource for building a dialogical space of mutual strengthening
and empowerment, the discussions revolved around the beliefs and convictions of
each participant. The importance of reflecting on the supervised internship is based
on the premise that it represents a crucial part of initial teacher education and is of
utmost importance for the critical development of future teachers. As a result, it was
possible to understand how important the internships were for the teacher education
of each one of them. And according to the statements, it became possible to reaffirm
that the internship is a possibility of direct contact with the future workplace,
observing the differential positioning and behavior of geography teachers in the
classroom, considering that this is a very important aspect of the participants'
experiences. In conclusion, it is not only the practice, the act of applying knowledge
in schools, but also the opportunity to be in the classroom as a trainee, and make
that period of experience become an important part of their training and broaden their
vision of the role of a teacher. |
