The present study aims to report the pedagogical experience with the content of
Dance during the period of the Supervised Curricular Internship in Physical Education in the
Lower Secondary School, at the Federal University of North Tocantins, in the city of
Tocantinópolis (TO). This is a descriptive qualitative experience report using self-narrative.
The empirical section analysis was organized into six stages: 1- Problem Contextualization; 2-
Planning/Preparation Phase; 3- Theoretical Lessons; 4- Practical Activities; 5- Choreography
Rehearsals; 6- Culminating Moment. The findings from the experience indicated that despite
the challenges of teaching Dance over the semester, particularly due to resistance from male
students, it is possible and necessary to work with this content in Physical Education classes,
encompassing both theoretical and practical aspects, such as the dance event held at the
school. It is concluded that there is still a need for significant progress for the access to such
content to happen with proper enjoyment in the school. |
