The educational approach to learning Science, Technology, Engeenering, Arts
and Mathematics STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Mathema-
tics) has been widely used today, with a view to integrating of these areas of
knowledge aimed at educational applications for Teaching Average. Following
this approach, the work described here is oriented to the construction of an om-
nidirectional mobile platform, based on stepper motors and mecanum wheels, for
transporting germicidal irradiation systems from the system control by means of
electronic printed circuit boards containing programmable microcontrollers, such
as the Prototyping Platform arduino electronics. Mecanum wheels have a spe-
cial shape that allows the movement of a vehicle, quickly and optimally, in all
directions allowing displacements that are not possible with common wheels. is
developed also a tutorial following the "do it yourself"methodology so that tea-
chers and students can reproduce the vehicle and even modify it or improve it,
with different functionalities offered by the Arduino platform. The mobile system
shall carry a source of ultraviolet radiation for germicides and due to this reason
the control of their movement should be done via Xbee or Bluetooth-type radio
waves. The methodological foundation of the work will have as an overview the
methodologies of the three moments Demétrio Delizoicov’s pedagogical principles
and the STEAM approach. The applications of educational product occurred in a
public school, in the first and third grades of High School, in the city of Paraíso do
Tocantins-TO. |
