The presente work proposes to carry out a discussion about access and uso to the urban public leisure spaces in the city of Araguaína-TO, specifically the Cimba Urban Ecological Park and Via Lago as áreas of empirical research. The research has as its general objective to anlyze access and use to urban public leisure spaces, Cimba Urban Ecological Park and Via Lago of the city Araguaína and their contribution to social development. In order to answer whether the Cimba Urban Ecological Park and Via Lago, as urban public leisure spaces, promote social inclusion or segregation?. To this end, a descriptive and exploratory research was carried out, using the monographic method, which allows na in-depth study of a group of people, by analyzing the interviews and questionnaires applied on the via lago, as well as, observation of the places chosen for the research with visits journals, photographic records, bibliographic research and study of theoretical references on social development, urbanization and leiure with qualitative data analysis in order to achieve the proposed objectives and necessary results for regional knowledge of the subject. The study is theoretically signed in the writings of Amartya Sen (2010), when dealing with development, and also Milton Santos (2009) when dealing with issues of evolution and urbanismo city, as well as the studies of Ana Fani A. Carlos (2007), Maria Encarnação B. Sposito (2001), Henry Lefebvre (2001). Based on the data collected and the theoreticians described above, it is possible to conclude thar in the chosen spaces theres is a symbolic segregation, being perceived in the analysis of structural and non- structural elements. |
