The present course conclusion work proposes an urban intervention project, materia-lized through the elaboration of guidelines for the implementation of an Urban Park at AV NO 51, located in the ARNOs region, in the city of Palmas, tocantins state. The capital of Tocantins, as well as the vast majority of cities in Brazil and the world, is directly influenced by the capitalist system in its urban spatial configuration, generating serious problems such as segregations and social disparities. The appropriation of na-ture and public leisure spaces by the real estate market takes place very strongly in the intra-urban space, hindering equal access and, thus, contrary to the conception plan of Palmas. Consolidated regions, with low land value, low middle income and high population density, as is the case of ARNOs, are very lacking in places to establish one of the basic social rights guaranteed by the Constitution: leisure. It will then be given due importance to activities and public leisure spaces as a potential for transfor-mation in the commodity city, focusing on the implementation of urban parks.
