Some transformations and evolution of women's futsal have been taking place over the years,
which are part of the theme of this research, but mainly the issue of gender prejudice for the
practice of this sport were contemplated. The objective of this work was to analyze the
perception of university athletes about gender issues in women's Futsal. Due to the
aforementioned objective, the present investigation is constituted as a Field Research, of an
exploratory nature and with a qualitative approach. This is the Universidade Federal do Norte
do Tocantins (UFNT), more specifically the Tocantinópolis-TO campus, whose Physical
Education students are generally more involved with sports. The results addressed a set of
motivations and incentives (family and institutional), as well as a deplorable spectrum of
prejudices that university students had (and have) to face in order to continue practicing a
historically masculinized sport. |
