Using a netnographic approach, online interactions were observed, such as comments, posts and discussions in specific forums, seeking to understand the social and cultural dynamics that fuel digital fatphobia. The research also investigated the platforms' moderation policies and their role in containing this harmful discourse, as well as analyzing the balance between freedom of expression and online safety. The results obtained demonstrate the ubiquitous presence of digital media in our daily lives and their influence in amplifying routine issues, including hate speech. We observed that the use of netnography in scientific research is a valuable tool for understanding this issue. In addition, this study highlights that the debate on hate speech is not confined to the legal field alone, but is also a relevant issue in historiography, showing ways in which such issues can be scrutinized in the classroom in accordance with the Common National Curriculum Base (BNCC). A crescente influência das mídias digitais em nossas vidas coloca as questões cotidianas no centro dos discursos online, dessa forma, o presente trabalho foi desenvolvido com o objetivo de apresentar uma análise do discurso de ódio utilizando como metodologia a netnografia, afim de mapear as dinâmicas nos processos de comunicação entre os seguidores e não seguidores das plataformas digitais analisando os padrões de comportamento dos usuários envolvidos nesse discurso, identificando estratégias adotadas e entendendo o impacto sobre a inclusão das vítimas. Utilizando uma abordagem netnográfica, foram observadas interações online, como comentários, postagens e discussões em fóruns específicos, buscando compreender a dinâmica social e cultural que alimenta a gordofobia digital. A pesquisa também investigou as políticas de moderação das plataformas e seu papel na contenção desse discurso prejudicial, bem como analisou o equilíbrio entre a liberdade de expressão e a segurança online. Os resultados obtidos demonstram a presença ubíqua das mídias digitais em nossa vida cotidiana e sua influência na amplificação de questões rotineiras, incluindo o discurso de ódio. Observamos que a utilização da netnografia na pesquisa científica é uma ferramenta valiosa para a compreensão dessa problemática.
