As a methodology, we carried out semi- structured interviews with (3) three women who suffer/have suffered domestic violence. Their names were defined as flowers for reasons of protection and women's choice. The research indicated that the women interviewed suffer domestic violence, especially physical aggression, but also psychological and property violence. Esta pesquisa tem por objetivo compreender como ocorre a violência doméstica sofrida pelas mulheres do Bairro Alto Bonito, no município de Tocantinópolis (TO), observando as possíveis sequelas provocadas pelos agressores e os direitos constituídos por meio de políticas públicas conquistadas pela luta das mulheres. Como metodologia realizamos entrevistas semiestruturadas com (3) três mulheres que sofrem/sofreram violência doméstica. Seus nomes foram definidos como flores por questão de proteção e escolha das mulheres.
