This course completion work aimed to understand, through bibliographic and documentary
research, access to women's health and its functionalities during the COVID-19 pandemic
period. To this end, the implications of gender and women's health were addressed, addressing
the conditions of women in Brazilian society since colonization. Subsequently, we sought to
understand the context in which the first women's health policies emerged in Brazil and their
rights, women's health in the SUS, comprehensive care policies, aiming to understand their
implications in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic. Finally, considerations were made
about the impacts that the pandemic had on both health services and the conditions of access to
health services for women. In chapter 2 we discuss women's health policy in Brazil, the way
this policy has developed over the years, and the challenges that women have faced in achieving
their civil and political rights. In chapter 3 we discuss women's health policies, based on the
creation of the SUS, a public health model built collectively that was designed according to the
needs of the population. In chapter 4, the data collected from the research were presented. In
addition, data collection strategies will be presented. With this work, it was possible to realize
that women for many years had their rights violated due to the capitalist patriarchal system
implemented by the colonizers, where women did not have rights to decide about their lives
and their bodies, due to gender inequalities. |
