The Final Paper has as its theme the policy of access and permanence of children and
adolescents with disabilities in public schools in Miracema do Tocantins: a
documentary analysis. Therefore, the work has a general objective to know the policy
of access, permanence and completion of children and adolescents with disabilities to
primary and secondary education in the public network of the municipality of Miracema
do Tocantins. However, as a specific objective To know the inclusive education policy
and its perspectives of access and permanence of children and adolescents in public
elementary and high schools; Identify the achievements in the scope of inclusive
education policies in public elementary schools regarding the perspectives of access
and permanence of children and adolescents with disabilities; To analyze educational
policies and the possibilities for intervention by the social worker in the process of
educational inclusion of people with disabilities in the public network. The methodology
adopted in carrying out the study was bibliographic and documentary research. As it
was noticed that the number of students with disabilities attended by public schools
surveyed (149 students with disabilities) in the municipality in question is a
considerable amount that need a different look in relation to the promotion of conditions
that favor their learning and quality. However, considering the results of the research,
many actions still need to be implemented in the educational system to meet the
educational needs of these students, such as the adapted curriculum that does not yet
exist, the medical report attesting to the disability of the student and school approval,
failure and dropout reports so that both the school and the community can be clear
about the school reality of these individuals. And the social service can work with the
government to ensure that these students have equal opportunities to others and are
treated with citizenship. |
