Characterized as an infectious process caused by several species of Leishmania, transmission occurs through the bite of female sandflies belonging to the genera Lutzomyia when infected. The appearance of lesions and clinical signs in dogs and cats is linked to the immune response, with the Th1 response being the most efficient in felines. Therefore, the present work aims to verify laboratory changes in cats positive for leishmaniasis, diagnosed through cPCR in whole blood samples, in the municipality of Araguaína-TO. Positivity for Leishmania spp was confirmed by conventional PCR. Blood and serum samples were collected, and hematological and biochemical tests were performed on eight positive cats. All animals presented erythrocyte and leukocyte count values within normal limits. Hypoalbuminemia, followed by hypoproteinemia were the most frequent biochemical changes. This study contributes to the knowledge regarding feline leishmaniasis and laboratory changes resulting from parasitism. It exposes the importance of clinical evaluation of felines as susceptible hosts to Leishmania spp. in veterinary routine in endemic regions. A leishmaniose é uma zoonose de distribuição mundial que pode afetar o homem, além de várias espécies de animais silvestres e domésticos, em diferentes regiões do mundo. Caracterizada por ser um processo infeccioso causado por diversas espécies de Leishmania, a transmissão se dá pela picada das fêmeas dos flebotomíneos pertencentes aos gêneros Lutzomyia, quando estas estão infectadas. O aparecimento de lesões e sinais clínicos em cães e gatos está ligado ao tipo de resposta imune desencadeado no hospedeiro, sendo a resposta Th1 a mais eficiente. O presente trabalho teve como objetivo descrever alterações laboratoriais apresentadas por gatos do município de Araguaína- TO., positivos para Leishmania spp. A positividade para Leishmania spp foi confirmada por PCR convencional. Foram coletadas amostras de sangue e soro e realizados exames hematologicos e bioquímicos de 8 gatos positivos. Todos os animais apresentaram valores de contagem de eritrócitos, leucócito dentro dos padrões de normalidade. A hipoalbuminemia, seguida de hipoproteinemia foram as alterações bioquímicas mais frequentes.
